About Us
MANDATE: To provide financial support to sick and underprivileged children through summer camp sponsorship, direct donations to families to offset the costs of travel for medical treatments and through the purchase of medical and entertainment devices in hospitals Bassin' for Kids, Northern Ontario, founded in 1996, is a special organization that evolved from a long running Bass Tournament. Previous years had just been a Bass Tourney like so many others, but what has made our tourney more worthwhile has been the simple fact that we are helping kids (along with still enjoying fishing!)
Bassin' for Kids, Northern Ontario, founded in 1996, is a special organization that evolved from a long running Bass Tournament. In Previous years this had just been a Bass Tournament like so many others, but what has made our tournament more worthwhile has been the simple fact that we are able to help kids (along with still enjoying fishing!).
Our members love to take a weekend off to relax and enjoy themselves, but still take time to raise thousands of dollars for sick and underprivileged children across Northern Ontario. We are not a large organization, but we strongly believe in helping kids and parents behind the scenes. Each year our tournament grows and with it grows the amount of money we are successfully able to raise.

Our total amount raised for the Kids is now at over $1,300,000. This money was spent where it was needed most; on children with cancer and other disabilities, sponsoring these children for summer camps, donations to Sick Kids Hospital, juvenile diabetes programs, Ronald McDonald House in Toronto, and helping many families with financial problems in order to afford travel and accommodation while their child was receiving medical care. Your donations have been used to help children and their families in many ways.
Below is a list of what we have accomplished over the last eight years:

-
We sponsor children with cancer and other debilitating conditions to attend Camp Quality each summer.
-
We sponsor underprivileged children to attend summer camp at Camp Wabikon.
-
We have helped camps pave sidewalks for wheelchair access, install wheel chair lifts in swimming pools and provided emergency generators.
-
We have purchased gaming systems for children in hospitals throughout Northern Ontario.
-
We provide financial support to families travelling to receive medical support for their children.
-
Christmas has never gone by without our tourney helping children 'have a better Christmas.
