This Year - 2026

Dear Potential Sponsor,

I would like to invite you to become a sponsor of the 38th Annual Bassin’ for Kids Fundraising Fishing Tournament to be held on Lake Temagami Sept 11th to the 13th. This year 80 teams will congregate at Camp Wabikon for the purpose of raising funds for sick and underprivileged children in a variety of ways, such as;

Assisting children with serious illnesses and their families by defraying the costs of travel and other related medical expenses.
Providing an opportunity for underprivileged children to attend summer camp.
Sponsoring children with cancer to attend Camp Quality, a national charitable organization devoted to providing free camp experiences and year-round programming for children with cancer. We send 50 children to this camp each year.
Sponsoring children who otherwise cannot afford to attend Camp Wabikon each year
Purchasing televisions and gaming systems for children’s wards at hospitals.
Providing financial assistance to CHEO and the Sick Kids Foundation, funding research to treat and cure childhood illnesses.
Making Christmas special for underprivileged children and children that are suffering with life threatening illnesses.

All of the funds raised go directly to these and other worthwhile causes. The event is completely volunteer driven meaning none of the funds raised go to administrative fees.

As a potential sponsor, you have the opportunity to assist us in a variety of ways. In addition to cash donations, we receive prizes which are auctioned off in a silent auction at the tournament or given as prizes in a fundraising raffle. Other forms of sponsorship include donations of food products and related items to assist in defraying the costs of hosting the tournament.

The tournament participants do their share of fundraising as well. Each participant collects pledges throughout the year. To date, the record for a single boat fundraising for the year is $24,000!

Various events are held throughout the fishing tournament weekend, which raise additional funds for children in need. Through the assistance of sponsors and the fundraising efforts of the participants, the tournament raised over $100,000 last year, bringing our grand total to over $1,445,000 in the thirty-eight year history of the event. We hope that you will choose to join us as a sponsor in 2026 as we prepare for our 38th Annual Bassin’ for Kids Fundraising Fishing Tournament.

Lastly, please be advised that sponsors are always welcome at the tournament and are invited to participate by entering a boat.
